David is president of CNI and its subsidiary GAC, bringing more than 30 years of experience in community development, real estate, finance, and government. At CNI, he has coordinated over $1 billion in public and private investments that have created more than 2,500 jobs and transformed neighborhoods across Chicago’s South and West Sides. His work in Pullman – including the 180-acre, mixed-use Pullman Park development – has attracted $500 million in investment, supported national and local businesses, and helped earn the designation as a National Historic Park Site.

Prior to CNI, he served in Mayor Richard M. Daley’s administration, including as General Superintendent and CEO of the Chicago Park District, where he spearheaded major projects such as the $650 million renovation of Soldier Field and the creation of Millennium Park. He also served as First Deputy in the Department of Planning and Development. David holds degrees from Wheaton College and the University of Chicago and continues to serve on numerous civic and advisory boards advancing inclusive development across the region.
