Steven S. Dorfman — Treasurer (financial leader, community builder, and Soldier Field advocate)

Steven Dorfman brings decades of financial leadership and advisory experience to the Soldier Field Foundation, guiding organizations in growth strategies, funding, partnerships, operations and major transactions. A proud Chicagoan and 20+ year Chicago Bears season ticket holder, he pairs his professional expertise with a deep commitment to community service supporting such organizations as the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Leukemia Society, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association. He has also served on the boards of the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Knapp Center for Entrepreneurship, Chicago Yacht Club, University of Haifa, and Tyson, IBP, and Cargill joint venture (Provision X).

As a founder and President of SSD Strategic Services, Mr. Dorfman executed significant leadership roles in transactions in excess of $700 million for Bank of America’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch and Canadian based BMO’s acquisition of Marshall & Ilsley (M&I) Bank. His strategic leadership and operational integration experience provided the banks with seamless transitions.

Prior to founding SSD, Mr. Dorfman held a senior position at Accenture, where he focused on large scale international strategy and technology initiatives for banking, insurance, healthcare and Department of Defense clients. In addition, Steven was a founding member of numerous entrepreneurial endeavors including Sapient, Breakaway Solutions, and The Wire Exchange.

He is a graduate of Boston University (Cum Laude, Business and Information Systems) and pursued advanced studies in finance and technology at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
