Tom Sax served as Chief Executive Officer of American Titanium Works LLC, a decade-long initiative to design, build, and finance a highly efficient, fully integrated titanium plate mill in the United States. In this role, he was responsible for setting strategic direction, negotiating and coordinating all vendor contracts for equipment and construction, overseeing site selection, managing project finance, and securing feedstock supply and municipal incentive agreements.

He also served as Vice Chairman of Shield Technologies Corporation from its inception, helping to establish the company as a leading provider of Envelop Protective Covers to the U.S. Department of Defense, allied militaries, commercial clients, and the offshore oil and gas industry.

Earlier, Tom was a founder and Executive Vice President of Check-Cap Ltd., a biomedical start-up developing an innovative ingestible imaging capsule designed to detect colon polyps for early screening of colorectal disease.

Before his business career, Tom practiced law for more than twenty years as a litigation attorney, representing clients through all phases of complex commercial litigation—from pretrial proceedings to trial and appeal.

Tom earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
